The Chocolate Hills are a unique geological formation located in the Bohol province of the Philippines. This natural wonder consists of over 1,200 symmetrical hills that are covered in green grass, which turns brown during the dry season, giving them a chocolate-like appearance. The hills vary in height, ranging from 30 to 50 meters, and are spread over an area of approximately 50 square kilometers.
These hills are believed to have been formed through the erosion of limestone and the uplift of coral deposits. The Chocolate Hills are a popular tourist destination and were declared a national geological monument in 1988. They are also included in the tentative list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
