Chirag (Lamp)
A chirag, or lamp, is a traditional source of light commonly used in various cultures, especially in India. Typically made from clay, metal, or glass, it is filled with oil or ghee and has a wick that is lit to produce illumination. Chirags are often used during festivals, rituals, and ceremonies, symbolizing knowledge and the dispelling of darkness.
In many households, chirags are an integral part of daily life, providing light during power outages or in areas without electricity. They are also used in religious practices, where lighting a chirag is seen as an offering to deities, representing hope and prosperity.
