Chinese Nationalist forces
The Chinese Nationalist forces, also known as the Kuomintang (KMT), were a political and military group in China that aimed to unify the country and establish a strong government. Founded by Sun Yat-sen in the early 20th century, the KMT played a crucial role in the overthrow of the Qing Dynasty. They sought to modernize China and promote nationalism, democracy, and people's livelihood.
During the Chinese Civil War, which lasted from the late 1920s to 1949, the KMT fought against the Communist Party of China (CPC), led by Mao Zedong. Despite initial successes, the KMT ultimately lost the war and retreated to Taiwan, where they continued to govern
