Chinese Internal Alchemy
Chinese Internal Alchemy, known as Neidan, is a traditional practice that focuses on transforming the body's energy to achieve spiritual enlightenment and longevity. It combines elements of Taoism, meditation, and physical exercises to cultivate inner vitality. Practitioners aim to harmonize the body's energies, often referred to as Qi, through various techniques, including breath control and visualization.
The process of Internal Alchemy involves refining the "three treasures": Jing (essence), Qi (vital energy), and Shen (spirit). By purifying and balancing these elements, individuals seek to attain a higher state of consciousness and ultimately unite with the Tao, or the fundamental nature of the universe.
