Childhood Arrivals
"Childhood Arrivals" refers to young individuals who were brought to a country as children, often without legal documentation. This term is commonly associated with the DREAM Act, which aims to provide a pathway to legal status for these individuals, allowing them to pursue education and employment opportunities.
In the United States, many of these individuals are protected under the DACA program, which stands for Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals. This program, established in 2012, allows eligible childhood arrivals to apply for deferred action from deportation, enabling them to live and work in the U.S. without fear of removal.
