Chief Osceola
Chief Osceola was a prominent leader of the Seminole tribe in Florida during the early 19th century. He is best known for his role in the Second Seminole War, which lasted from 1835 to 1842. Osceola was a fierce advocate for the rights of his people and opposed the forced removal of the Seminoles from their ancestral lands.
Osceola was born around 1804 and became a symbol of resistance against U.S. government policies. He was captured in 1837 under a flag of truce and died in prison a year later. His legacy continues to be celebrated in Florida and among Native American communities.
