Chernivtsi University building
The Chernivtsi University building, officially known as the Chernivtsi National University, is a historic architectural complex located in Chernivtsi, Ukraine. It was constructed between 1864 and 1882 and is renowned for its stunning Neo-Gothic style, featuring intricate brickwork and colorful tile roofs. The university was originally established as a Czernowitz university for the Austro-Hungarian Empire.
In 2011, the university was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site due to its unique architectural significance and cultural importance. The complex includes several notable structures, such as the main building and the Chapel, which showcase the rich history and educational legacy of the institution.
