Cheops
Cheops, also known as the Great Pyramid of Giza, is one of the most famous monuments in the world. Built around 2580–2560 BC during the reign of Pharaoh Khufu, it is the largest of the three pyramids on the Giza plateau in Egypt. The pyramid originally stood at 146.6 meters (481 feet) tall and was constructed using approximately 2.3 million blocks of stone.
The Great Pyramid served as a tomb for Khufu and is part of a complex that includes smaller pyramids, temples, and the iconic Sphinx. It is the only surviving structure of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, showcasing the advanced engineering and architectural skills of ancient Egyptians.
