Chen Shou
Chen Shou was a Chinese historian and scholar during the late Eastern Han dynasty and the early Three Kingdoms period. He is best known for his work, the Records of the Three Kingdoms (Sanguozhi), which provides a detailed account of the history and events of the Three Kingdoms era. His writings are considered a crucial source for understanding this tumultuous period in Chinese history.
In addition to the Records of the Three Kingdoms, Chen Shou also contributed to the Book of Han and other historical texts. His work laid the foundation for later historians, including Sima Qian, who wrote the Records of the Grand Historian. Chen Shou's meticulous documentation has made him a significant figure in the study of ancient Chinese history.
