Cheddi Jagan
Cheddi Jagan was a prominent Guyanese politician and a key figure in the country's struggle for independence from British colonial rule. Born on March 22, 1918, he co-founded the People's Progressive Party (PPP) in 1950, advocating for social justice and economic reform. Jagan served as the Prime Minister of British Guiana from 1961 until 1964, when his government was overthrown in a controversial coup.
