Chassidism
Chassidism is a Jewish spiritual movement that emerged in the 18th century in Eastern Europe, founded by Rabbi Israel Baal Shem Tov. It emphasizes the importance of personal experience in connecting with God and encourages joyful worship, community, and the study of Torah.
Chassidism promotes the idea that spirituality can be found in everyday life and stresses the significance of a close relationship with a Rebbe, or spiritual leader. The movement has various sects, each with its own customs and teachings, but all share a commitment to deepening faith and fostering a sense of belonging among followers.
