Chashma-1
Chashma-1 is a nuclear power plant located in Pakistan, specifically in the Mianwali District of Punjab. It is the first unit of the Chashma Nuclear Power Complex and has a pressurized water reactor (PWR) design. The plant began commercial operations in 2000 and has a net electrical output of approximately 325 megawatts.
The facility is operated by the Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission (PAEC) and plays a significant role in the country's energy production. Chashma-1 contributes to Pakistan's efforts to diversify its energy sources and reduce reliance on fossil fuels, promoting cleaner energy generation.
