Charlotte of Luxembourg
Charlotte of Luxembourg was born on December 24, 1896, in Luxembourg City. She was the daughter of Grand Duke William IV of Luxembourg and Princess Maria Ana of Portugal. Charlotte became the Grand Duchess of Luxembourg in 1919 after her father abdicated the throne.
During her reign, she played a significant role in the country's development and was known for her dedication to social causes. She led Luxembourg through challenging times, including World War II, when she went into exile. Charlotte passed away on July 9, 1985, leaving a lasting legacy in her homeland.
