Charles Lennox, 1st Duke of Richmond
Charles Lennox, 1st Duke of Richmond (1701-1750), was a British nobleman and politician. He was born to the Duke of Lennox and became a prominent figure in the House of Lords. Richmond served as a member of Parliament and held various positions, including Lord Lieutenant of Ireland.
In 1723, he was granted the title of Duke of Richmond, which elevated his status in the British aristocracy. He was known for his involvement in military affairs and his support for the Whig Party. Richmond's legacy includes his contributions to the development of the Richmond Park in London.
