Charles FitzRoy, 1st Duke of Grafton
Charles FitzRoy, 1st Duke of Grafton (1737-1811), was a British nobleman and politician. He was born into the House of Stuart and was the son of Henry FitzRoy, 1st Duke of Grafton. He became the Duke in 1757 after his father's death and served in various political roles, including as Prime Minister of Great Britain from 1768 to 1770.
As a member of the Whig Party, Grafton played a significant role in the political landscape of his time. His tenure as Prime Minister was marked by challenges, including issues related to the American colonies. After resigning, he continued to be active in politics and held several important positions until his retirement.
