Character Alignment
Character alignment is a system used in role-playing games, particularly in Dungeons & Dragons, to categorize a character's moral and ethical perspective. It consists of two axes: one representing morality (good, neutral, evil) and the other representing ethics (lawful, neutral, chaotic). This creates nine distinct alignments, such as Lawful Good or Chaotic Evil, which help players understand their character's motivations and behaviors.
The alignment system serves as a guideline for character development and decision-making within the game. It influences how characters interact with others, respond to challenges, and pursue their goals. By defining a character's alignment, players can create more consistent and engaging narratives in their gameplay.
