Chapel Bridge
Chapel Bridge, or Kapellbrücke, is a historic wooden bridge located in Lucerne, Switzerland. Built in the 14th century, it spans the Reuss River and connects the old town with the newer parts of the city. The bridge is famous for its unique design, featuring a series of paintings that depict the history of Lucerne.
The bridge measures about 870 feet long and is one of the oldest covered wooden bridges in Europe. It was originally constructed to protect the city from floods and invasions. Despite suffering significant damage from a fire in 1993, Chapel Bridge was restored and remains a popular tourist attraction.
