Chandrayaan-1
Chandrayaan-1 was India's first lunar probe, launched by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) on October 22, 2008. Its primary mission was to explore the Moon's surface and gather data about its mineral composition, topography, and the presence of water ice in the polar regions.
The spacecraft successfully entered lunar orbit on November 8, 2008, and operated until August 2009. Chandrayaan-1 made significant discoveries, including the confirmation of water molecules on the Moon's surface, which enhanced our understanding of lunar geology and paved the way for future lunar exploration missions.
