Chanchán
Chanchán is an ancient archaeological site located in northern Peru, near the city of Trujillo. It was the capital of the Chimú civilization, which thrived from around 900 to 1470 AD. The site is known for its impressive adobe structures, including palaces, temples, and walls, all built using mud bricks.
The most notable feature of Chanchán is its vast size, covering approximately 20 square kilometers. It is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site due to its historical significance and unique architectural style.
