Champ Car
Champ Car was a professional auto racing series in North America, primarily featuring open-wheel cars. It was founded in 2004 as a result of a merger between the Indy Racing League and the Champ Car World Series, which had been rivals for many years. The series showcased high-speed races on various road courses and street circuits.
The championship attracted top drivers and teams, including notable names like Paul Tracy and Sebastien Bourdais. However, financial difficulties and competition from other racing series led to its decline. Ultimately, Champ Car ceased operations in 2008, with many of its assets absorbed by the IndyCar Series.
