Chadic languages
The Chadic languages are a branch of the larger Afro-Asiatic language family, primarily spoken in parts of Nigeria, Chad, and Cameroon. This group includes over 150 languages, with Hausa being the most widely spoken among them. Chadic languages are known for their complex tonal systems and rich morphology.
These languages are categorized into two main groups: West Chadic and East Chadic. The West Chadic languages include Hausa and several others, while the East Chadic languages are less widely spoken. Chadic languages play a significant role in the cultural and social identity of the communities that speak them.
