Cereus peruvianus
Cereus peruvianus, commonly known as the Peruvian apple cactus, is a tall, columnar cactus native to South America. It can grow up to 10 meters (33 feet) in height and features blue-green stems with prominent ribs. This cactus produces large, white or yellow flowers that bloom at night and can develop edible, red or purple fruits known as "cereus fruits."
The Peruvian apple cactus thrives in arid environments and is often found in dry, rocky areas. It is well-adapted to drought conditions and can store water in its thick stems. This species is also popular in ornamental gardening due to its striking appearance and unique flowers.
