Central American Integration
Central American Integration refers to the efforts made by countries in the Central America region to promote economic cooperation, political stability, and social development. This process aims to enhance trade, improve infrastructure, and foster regional security among member states, which include Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, and Panama.
One of the key initiatives for integration is the Central American Integration System (SICA), established in 1991. SICA facilitates collaboration on various issues, such as environmental protection, education, and disaster response, helping to strengthen ties and improve the quality of life for citizens across the region.
