Centauri refers to a group of stars in the constellation of Centaurus, with the most famous being Alpha Centauri. This star system is located about 4.37 light-years away from Earth, making it one of our closest stellar neighbors. Alpha Centauri is actually a triple star system, consisting of three stars: Alpha Centauri A, Alpha Centauri B, and Proxima Centauri.
Proxima Centauri is particularly interesting because it has at least one planet, known as Proxima Centauri b, which lies in the habitable zone where conditions might be right for liquid water. This has sparked curiosity about the possibility of life beyond Earth and has made Centauri a focal point for future space exploration.
