Caucasian Iberia
Caucasian Iberia, also known as Iberia, was an ancient kingdom located in the eastern part of the Caucasus region, primarily in what is now Georgia. It existed from around the 4th century BCE to the 5th century CE and was known for its rich culture and strategic location along trade routes. The kingdom was influenced by neighboring powers, including Persia and Rome.
The inhabitants of Caucasian Iberia spoke the Iberian language, which is now largely extinct. The kingdom played a significant role in the early history of the Georgian people and contributed to the development of Christianity in the region, becoming one of the first areas to adopt the faith in the early 4th century.
