Catherine of Portugal
Catherine of Portugal (1436–1497) was a Portuguese princess, the daughter of King John I of Portugal and Philippa of Lancaster. She is best known for her marriage to Henry VI of England, which was part of a political alliance between Portugal and England during the late 15th century.
Catherine's life was marked by her role in the royal court and her efforts to support her husband during the turbulent times of the Wars of the Roses. Although she had no surviving children, her marriage helped strengthen ties between the two kingdoms, influencing future diplomatic relations.
