Cataphatic Theology
Cataphatic Theology is a branch of theology that focuses on describing God through positive affirmations and attributes. It emphasizes what can be known about God, using language and concepts that highlight His qualities, such as love, justice, and mercy. This approach seeks to articulate the nature of the divine in a way that is accessible and relatable to human understanding.
In contrast to Apophatic Theology, which emphasizes the limitations of human language in describing God, Cataphatic Theology provides a framework for believers to express their faith. It often draws from sacred texts, traditions, and philosophical reasoning to construct a more comprehensive view of the divine, fostering a deeper connection between humanity and the divine.
