Cashibo language
Cashibo is an indigenous language spoken by the Cashibo-Cacataibo people in the Amazon rainforest of Peru. It belongs to the Panoan language family and is primarily used in the regions surrounding the Ucayali River.
The language is vital for preserving the cultural identity and traditions of the Cashibo-Cacataibo community. Efforts are being made to document and revitalize Cashibo as younger generations increasingly adopt Spanish and other dominant languages.
