Caro Quintero
Rafael Caro Quintero is a Mexican drug lord known for his involvement in the illegal drug trade during the late 20th century. He was a co-founder of the C Guadalajara Cartel, which played a significant role in the trafficking of marijuana and cocaine into the United States. Quintero gained notoriety for his violent methods and was implicated in various criminal activities.
In 1985, he was arrested for the kidnapping and murder of DEA agent Enrique "Kiki" Camarena, which drew international attention. After serving 28 years in prison, Quintero was released in 2013 due to a legal technicality, leading to his continued status as a fugitive and a high-priority target for law enforcement.
