Cardinal Deacons
Cardinal Deacons are members of the Roman Catholic Church who hold the rank of cardinal and are assigned to a specific diaconate. They assist the Pope and participate in the governance of the Church, often serving in various administrative roles. Their responsibilities include performing liturgical functions and advising the Pope on matters of Church governance.
In the hierarchy of the Church, Cardinal Deacons are below Cardinal Priests and Cardinal Bishops. They are typically appointed from among the clergy and may later be promoted to higher ranks within the Church. Their role emphasizes service and support within the broader mission of the Catholic Church.
