Cardinal Bishops
Cardinal Bishops are a specific rank within the hierarchy of the Roman Catholic Church. They are among the highest-ranking cardinals and oversee certain important dioceses, known as suburbicarian sees, located near Rome. Their role includes participating in the election of a new pope and advising the pope on church matters.
In addition to their administrative duties, Cardinal Bishops also have a liturgical role, often presiding over significant church ceremonies. They are typically chosen from among the cardinal priests and are usually older, experienced bishops, reflecting their senior status within the College of Cardinals.
