Capua
Capua is an ancient city located in the Campania region of Italy, near the modern town of Santa Maria Capua Vetere. It was an important center during the Roman Republic and Empire, known for its strategic location along the Via Appia, a major Roman road. Capua was famous for its gladiatorial schools and played a significant role in the Third Servile War, led by the gladiator Spartacus.
