Capitolio Nacional
The Capitolio Nacional is the seat of the legislative branch of the government in Colombia. Located in Bogotá, it houses the Senate and the Chamber of Representatives. The building is an important symbol of democracy and was designed by the architect Rafael Núñez in the neoclassical style.
Construction of the Capitolio began in 1926 and was completed in 1946. The structure features a grand facade with columns and a central dome. Inside, it contains various artworks and historical artifacts that reflect Colombia's rich cultural heritage and political history.
