Cape Cobras
The Cape Cobra is a venomous snake native to southern Africa, particularly found in South Africa, Namibia, and Botswana. It is known for its distinctive coloration, which can range from yellow to brown or black. Cape Cobras are typically around 1.2 to 2.0 meters long and are recognized for their ability to raise their hoods when threatened.
These snakes inhabit a variety of environments, including savannas, forests, and deserts. They primarily feed on small mammals, birds, and other reptiles. The venom of the Cape Cobra is potent and can be lethal, making it one of the most dangerous snakes in its range.
