Cao Thang
Cao Thang was a prominent Vietnamese military leader and revolutionary figure during the late 19th century. He is best known for his role in the resistance against French colonial rule in Vietnam. Born in 1840 in Bac Ninh, he became a key figure in the Can Vuong movement, which aimed to restore the Nguyen Dynasty and expel foreign invaders.
Cao Thang's leadership and strategic skills were instrumental in organizing local uprisings and mobilizing support among the Vietnamese people. Despite facing significant challenges and eventual defeat, his efforts contributed to the broader struggle for Vietnamese independence, inspiring future generations of nationalists.
