Canute IV
Canute IV, also known as Canute the Holy, was a king of Denmark who reigned from 1080 until his death in 1086. He was a member of the House of Knýtlinga and is remembered for his efforts to strengthen the Christian faith in Denmark. His reign was marked by attempts to consolidate power and improve the kingdom's administration.
Canute IV was canonized as a saint shortly after his death, largely due to his pious lifestyle and dedication to the church. His legacy includes the promotion of Christianity in Scandinavia and the establishment of a more organized church structure in Denmark.
