Candlepin bowling
Candlepin bowling is a variation of bowling that originated in New England. It features tall, slender pins that resemble candles, hence the name. Players roll a small ball down a narrow lane to knock down the pins, which stand upright after being hit. Each player has three rolls per frame, allowing for more opportunities to knock down pins.
In Candlepin bowling, the scoring system is similar to traditional bowling, but with some differences. Players earn points based on the number of pins knocked down, and they can also score additional points by knocking down remaining pins in subsequent rolls. The game is popular for its unique challenges and is often played in leagues and recreational settings.
