Candlemass
Candlemass is a Swedish doom metal band formed in 1984, known for its heavy, slow tempos and dark themes. The band's music often features powerful vocals, intricate guitar work, and a blend of traditional heavy metal elements with a more somber atmosphere. Their debut album, Epicus Doomicus Metallicus, is considered a classic in the genre.
The band's lineup has changed over the years, but Leif Edling, the bassist and primary songwriter, has remained a constant member. Candlemass has influenced many other bands in the doom metal scene and continues to perform and release new music, maintaining a dedicated fan base.
