Canadian Space Agency's Canadarm2
The Canadian Space Agency's Canadarm2 is a robotic arm used on the International Space Station (ISS). It is designed to assist with the assembly and maintenance of the ISS, as well as to capture and deploy visiting spacecraft. The arm is 18.5 meters long and can move in multiple directions, allowing it to perform a variety of tasks in space.
Canadarm2 is an advanced version of the original Canadarm, which was used on the Space Shuttle. It features enhanced capabilities, including the ability to work autonomously and to be operated from inside the ISS. This technology plays a crucial role in supporting human activities in low Earth orbit.
