Canadian Federal Electoral Districts
Canadian Federal Electoral Districts, also known as ridings, are specific geographic areas in Canada that elect Members of Parliament (MPs) to the House of Commons. Each district is designed to represent a certain population size, ensuring that all Canadians have a voice in the federal government. There are currently 338 electoral districts across the country.
The boundaries of these districts can change over time due to population shifts and other factors, which are reviewed by the Boundary Commission for Canada. This process helps maintain fair representation in the Canadian Parliament and ensures that each district reflects the demographics of its residents.
