Canada geese
Canada geese are large birds native to North America, easily recognized by their black heads and necks, white cheeks, and brown bodies. They typically measure between 30 to 43 inches in length and have a wingspan of about 50 to 60 inches. These birds are often found near water sources like lakes, rivers, and ponds.
Canada geese are known for their migratory behavior, traveling in V-shaped formations during seasonal migrations. They primarily feed on grasses, grains, and aquatic plants. Their honking calls are a familiar sound in many regions, especially during spring and fall when they are migrating.
