Campanile di Giotto
The Campanile di Giotto, or Giotto's Bell Tower, is a freestanding bell tower located in Florence, Italy. It is part of the Florence Cathedral complex and was designed by the artist Giotto di Bondone in the early 14th century. The tower stands at 82 meters tall and features a stunning façade adorned with colorful marble.
Construction of the tower began in 1334 and was completed in 1359. The Campanile is known for its intricate sculptures and reliefs that depict biblical scenes. Visitors can climb the 414 steps to the top for a panoramic view of Florence and its iconic skyline.
