Camp Red Cloud
Camp Red Cloud is a former U.S. Army installation located in South Korea. Established in the 1950s, it served as a base for American troops during the Korean War and throughout the Cold War. The camp was named after Red Cloud, a prominent Native American chief, and played a significant role in military operations in the region.
The camp was primarily used for training and support activities, housing various units and facilities. In 2014, Camp Red Cloud was officially closed as part of the U.S. military's realignment strategy in South Korea, transitioning to a new phase of military presence in the country.
