Red Cloud
Red Cloud was a prominent leader of the Oglala Lakota tribe during the 19th century. He is best known for his role in the Red Cloud's War (1866-1868), where he successfully fought against the United States government to protect Native American lands in the Powder River Country.
Red Cloud was born around 1822 and became a skilled warrior and diplomat. His leadership helped unite various tribes against U.S. expansion, and he was the first Native American to win a war against the U.S. military, leading to the signing of the Fort Laramie Treaty in 1868.
