Camp Bastion
Camp Bastion was a major military base in Helmand Province, Afghanistan, primarily used by the United Kingdom and its allies during the War in Afghanistan. Established in 2006, it served as a key logistical and operational hub for coalition forces, providing support for various military operations.
The camp was equipped with facilities for troops, including living quarters, medical services, and recreational areas. It played a crucial role in counterinsurgency efforts and was instrumental in training Afghan security forces. Camp Bastion was officially handed over to Afghan control in 2014, marking a significant transition in the region.
