The Callanish Stones are a group of standing stones located on the Isle of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland. Dating back to around 3000 BC, these ancient stones form a complex of megalithic structures, with a central circle surrounded by a series of stone rows. They are believed to have been used for ceremonial or astronomical purposes.
The site consists of 13 main stones, with the tallest reaching about 4.5 meters in height. The Callanish Stones are one of the most significant prehistoric monuments in Scotland, attracting visitors and researchers interested in ancient cultures and their practices.
