Cactus Mouse
The Cactus Mouse is a small rodent native to the arid regions of the southwestern United States and northern Mexico. It typically inhabits areas with dense vegetation, such as cacti and shrubs, which provide both food and shelter. The mouse has a soft, grayish-brown fur and large ears, helping it to regulate body temperature in its hot environment.
Cactus Mice are primarily nocturnal, foraging for seeds, fruits, and insects during the night. They are well-adapted to their dry habitat, obtaining moisture from their food and minimizing water loss. Their ability to thrive in harsh conditions makes them an important part of the desert ecosystem.
