Cacao Tree
The Cacao Tree, scientifically known as *Theobroma cacao*, is a tropical tree native to Central and South America. It typically grows to about 4 to 8 meters in height and produces large, colorful pods that contain cacao beans. These beans are the primary ingredient in making chocolate and are harvested by cutting the pods from the tree.
Cacao trees thrive in humid, warm climates and require specific conditions, such as shade and well-drained soil. The tree's flowers bloom directly from its trunk and branches, a unique feature among plants. After pollination, the flowers develop into the cacao pods that hold the valuable beans inside.
