CT scanners
CT scanners, or computed tomography scanners, are medical imaging devices that create detailed images of the inside of the body. They use X-rays and a computer to produce cross-sectional images, allowing doctors to see organs, bones, and tissues in great detail. This technology helps in diagnosing various conditions, including tumors, fractures, and internal bleeding.
During a CT scan, a patient lies on a table that moves through a large, doughnut-shaped machine. The scanner rotates around the body, taking multiple X-ray images from different angles. These images are then processed by a computer to generate a comprehensive view of the area being examined.
