CSTO
The Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) is a military alliance formed in 1992, primarily consisting of several former Soviet republics. Its main purpose is to ensure mutual defense and security among its member states, which include Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, and Tajikistan. The CSTO aims to address security threats and promote stability in the region.
The organization operates under a collective defense principle, meaning that an attack on one member is considered an attack on all. The CSTO conducts joint military exercises and collaborates on various security issues, including counter-terrorism and drug trafficking, to enhance cooperation among its members.
